  • Can you tell us about your career history prior to joining Fulkrum?

I have a diverse job history with experience in recruitment, resourcing, customer service, and administration. I began my journey as an Online Recruitment Consultant at Staffbook, where I successfully managed various role levels and clients. Following that, I worked as a Resourcing Consultant at Reed Specialist Recruitment, where I efficiently handled client assignment requests and coordinated employee deployments.

During my time at TQ Education & Training within Pearson PLC, I served as an International Recruitment Coordinator. At TQ, I was responsible for recruiting academic and technical positions and managing job advertising across multiple platforms. I achieved a balanced ratio of direct and agency hires while maintaining excellent candidate experience and engagement.

I also had an opportunity to hone my customer service skills prior to joining Fulkrum six years ago. As a Customer Service Advisor at Barclaycard Bespoke Offers, I provided exceptional service, promptly addressing customer inquiries and effectively managing complaints. I also reviewed and identified areas for service improvement.

My experience extends to administrative roles as well. I worked as a Deeds Customer Services representative at Lloyds Banking Group, where I processed customer deeds and maintained accurate records. Furthermore, as an Office Administrator at Business Caddy, I executed social media campaigns, supported website development, and coordinated marketing materials.

My various job history and experience showcase a diverse skill set, encompassing recruitment, customer service, administration, and organisational abilities, all of which have been tremendously valuable skills in my current position at Fulkrum.

  • What are the main activities/responsibilities you carry out in your day-to-day role?

I am responsible for sourcing technical Quality Control (QC) and inspection personnel via the company and online databases. I use search databases and platforms by utilising results and matching them to ad-hoc and permanent assignments as per the client’s requirements.

Another responsibility I have is being commercially aware when negotiating placements with inspectors and clients. This includes liaising with clients on the proposal, approval and mobilisation of inspectors. Issuing approved inspectors with information relating to their obligations, responsibilities and deliverables for the duration of the assignment.

I often utilise the Vendor Inspection Administration Tool for inspection management purposes; from logging the initial enquiry, through to the approval of the inspectors’ timesheet, invoice and any expenses.

I work with our clients to build strong relationships to better understand their technical requirements for any future work they may require.

  • Having recently been promoted to Senior QC Coordinator, how do you believe your experience and skillset contribute to maintaining Fulkrum’s highly regarded offerings?

My skills are instrumental in maintaining Fulkrum’s industry leading service levels and offerings. My experience and expertise in quality control processes and procedures enable me to ensure that the services provided by Fulkrum meet the highest standards of quality and accuracy.

As a senior team member, I have gained strong leadership and communication skills, allowing me to effectively coordinate and guide the quality control efforts of the team. My attention to detail, problem-solving abilities, and analytical mindset contribute to identifying areas for improvement and implementing corrective measures, further enhancing Fulkrum’s offerings.

By upholding and continuously improving the quality of Fulkrum’s offerings, I believe that I play a crucial role in maintaining the company’s reputation and meeting the expectations of clients and stakeholders.

  • What has been your biggest learning curve about the industry so far?

One of the biggest things that I have learnt is to manage my time to the fullest effect, as we communicate and work with inspectors from across the world in varying time zones.

  • What is the best piece of advice you’ve received in your career?

“Don’t try to impress people. Always be yourself.”
