  • What apprenticeship did you complete and how long did it last?
I completed Business Administration SVQ Level 6 Apprenticeship and completed it in roughly 14/15 months.

  • Can you share details about the specific skills and knowledge you gained during your apprenticeship, and how they contribute to your current role?
The apprenticeship increased my confidence within myself.
During my apprenticeship, my confidence and knowledge continued to increase, I had to understand the evidence that I presented to my tutor it, by doing that I gained more of an understanding of what I do and why it’s important.

  • What challenges did you encounter during your apprenticeship, and how did overcoming them shape your professional growth?
At the beginning of my apprenticeship, I had no confidence and didn’t think I would manage to complete it, the help and support I received from my colleagues and mentor really helped me in passing this.
I am now a Junior Co-Ordinator and very happy within my role. I now have the confidence to move into a new role and embrace the challenges that follow which I never thought I would be able to do.

  • In what ways did the apprenticeship scheme support your personal and professional development beyond acquiring technical skills?
It made me have a better understanding of tasks within my job as I had to provide evidence and present the work to my tutor in detail. To do this, I needed to understand the information to explain it in depth.

  • Can you provide examples of the mentorship and guidance you received during your apprenticeship, and how it impacted your journey?
I was able to contact my mentor, in between our monthly video calls, if I had any questions about my modules. I also had a lot of guidance and support from the people I work with who would answer any questions I had. I wouldn’t have been able to do it without the support I received.

  • Would you recommend this as a career route?
    Yes definitely.

  • Any advice for people considering apprenticeships as a career path.
An apprenticeship is worth it and it is a good stepping stone into your career.
